UKLA was recently asked to contribute to the creation of a Charter for Children's Literacy for the charity Beanstalk, formerly known as Volunteer Reading Help, as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. The Charter is intended to give a balanced and wide-reaching view, and will report on how experts and opinion leaders view the current situation in children's literacy, and collect their recommendations and ambitions for progress.
