This series of 40 page A4 booklets is designed to provide guidance for busy professionals on practice and planning. Written by people who have carried out the activities, Ideas in Practice booklets provide clear, workable guidance in aspects of language and literacy teaching and learning and in professional/curriculum development. With a brief background section about the principles of each topic, the booklets contain formats and examples of how these can be carried out in the classroom or Local Authority. The A4 format allows for plenty of illustrations and photocopiable formats. Booklets in this series are approximately 20,000 words/equivalent in illustrative material. We hope to publish at least two booklets in the series a year.
The latest are Planning for Innovation in English Teaching by Gabrielle Cliff Hodges, Alison Binney and Emily Evans and Teaching Writing Effectively: Reviewing practice by Eve Bearne, Liz Chamberlain, Teresa Cremin and Marilyn Mottram
