Talk for Spelling by Tony Martin

Reading Magazines with a Critical Eye in the Primary School
Minibooks are written for busy professionals who want practical ways forward as well as a coherent theoretical perspective to enrich their classroom practice. The purpose of the series is to introduce or briefly discuss an aspect of literacy teaching and learning. Teachers have little time to pursue every discussion or every new piece of research that emerges yet many want to keep up to date with current thinking in literacy teaching. Covering many aspects of literacy teaching and professional development, the series enables teachers to read in a concise form about new ideas as well as about more established thinking and approaches. Minibooks are between 8,000 – 10,000 words long. We publish Minibooks regularly and revise and reprint popular issues. The most recent titles are Talk for Spelling by Tony Martin and Reading Magazines with a Critical Eye by Carolyn Swain.
