StoryPhones is an MP3 audio system, created and designed by an Early Years teacher to give children an easy, flexible way to listen to audio stories, songs and resources. StoryPhones provides seven very robust MP3 players, accompanying software and access to a download store supported by a wide range of well known children’s publishers. All of the StoryPhones MP3 players can be set up into different modes allowing for independent individual listening, group listening, automatic play and recording. Each MP3 player has a rechargeable battery allowing children to listen wherever they want, indoors or outside. The principal aim of StoryPhones is to open up the world of audio stories and songs, making them easily accessible and thereby supporting children’s communication and listening skills which in turn aid the development of reading and writing.
