Submission to the Review of Best Practice in the Teaching of Early Reading

In creating this report UKLA drew on members’ expertise and opinions expressed during round table discussions at the annual UKLA international conference. UKLA would particularly like to thank the members of the Reading Special Interest Group who shaped these discussions into the current document. This review document constitutes not only a response to the Rose Review but a summary of current research and theory in teaching reading.
