Continuity & Progression in Moving Image Education

Between 2005-2007, UKLA and the University of Sheffield undertook an evaluation of the BFI Training Scheme for Lead Practitioners in Moving Image Education in 35 Local Authorities in England. The Executive Summary of the findings of that study can be downloaded at the bottom of this page and the full report can be ordered from the online bookshop. One of the recommendations of the report was that there is a need to focus on the analysis and production of moving image texts, as this area has been less well researched than the analysis and production of still image texts, or texts that include writing and still images. The QCA have funded a study in which UKLA will work in collaboration with the BFI and CLPE to identify appropriate methodological approaches for this work.
